The Brief
Enduro served as general contractor on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's accessibility project at Willingdon Green in Burnaby, procured through Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). The work brought the federal office facility into compliance with the Accessible Canada Act — reworking circulation, washrooms, doors, glazing and finishes while the building stayed in use. Substantial completion was reached in July 2024.

Scope of Work
- Accessibility-driven interior upgrade — delivered the CFIA Accessibility Project to bring the federal office into Accessible Canada Act compliance, working to the MGBA-issued IFC drawings and specifications.
- Glazing & accessible doors — new glazing and door assemblies with a recessed door-closer box detail to keep clear, barrier-free openings.
- Millwork & casework — custom millwork built to the accessibility specification, with counters and built-ins at compliant heights and reach ranges.
- Mechanical & ventilation — HVAC and mechanical modifications coordinated with the mechanical engineer.
- Electrical & fire protection — full electrical scope plus sprinkler and fire-suppression revisions to suit the new layout.
- Flooring, paint & finishes — new flooring and painting, plus window film, shades and new blinds.
- Hazardous-materials abatement — pre-construction hazmat handling ahead of demolition, managed under a formal waste-tracking program.
- Bonded federal contract delivery — delivered under a PSPC contract with CCDC performance and labour-&-material payment bonds, with structural and civil engineering input.
